

Susan E. Taylor, age 69, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Beloved wife and soulmate of Wayne D. Weisler, she was proceeded in death by her mother, Shirley L. Taylor, her father, Richard “Hank” Taylor, and her sister, Anne Celeste Taylor. She is survived by her son, Richard T. Reed, her two sisters, Mary Ellen Taylor Cantrell and Patti Taylor Lucchesi (Leo), her brother Glenn “GT” Taylor (Jennifer), and two nieces, Melissa Warner Brothers and Kathryn Ann Cantrell. Susan leaves many friends from around the world. She spent most of her childhood growing up in Guatemala and Honduras and was as comfortable speaking Spanish as she was English. She will be sadly missed by her many United Fruit Company friends. She also leaves many friends at the Louisiana Bridge Association. Susan spent most of her adult life in the mortgage and real estate industries. After Hurricane Katrina, she provided bookkeeping and accounting services to a group of companies involved in rebuilding New Orleans. She was an avid reader, loved movies and enjoyed playing bridge. She was a good listener and a loyal friend to all. She will be sadly missed by all, particularly her husband, who affectionately called her “The Wench.” Services will be private.
