I met Terry in Chicago when he came to graduate school in the late 1970s. I am very sorry to hear about his passing. He was a spark at the Department of Geophysical Sciences, and his smile improved everyone's mood (and there were a lot of people that appreciated that). 

Definitely not the type of person you ever, ever forget!

Suddenly the Afterlife looks far more welcoming.

Words cannot describe how devastated we were when Michael told us you were gone.  You have been a constant in my life since we were born in the fall of 1953, six weeks apart.  We were in school together, had kids at the same time and saw each other often at many events.  We will always remember your smile and kindness to all.
Your spirit will live on in your three beautiful children  and we will always love and remember you.

Terry, You will be missed dearly by all! Thanks for all the memories and fun times. The visits at the boathouse drinking Heinken and laughs and giggles! Uncle Terry, you will be greatly missed at every Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter, Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, random family gathering, and any other reason I could have used to simply hang out with you. You have been there every step of the way as I've grown up and I promise to return the favor for my 3 extraordinary cousins. I will remember you through all of the quirky but perfect gifts you have given me over the years - the windchimes, the jade necklace, etc. I will be thinking of you at each of my volleyball games this summer. Your zest for life will also not be lost on me and I thank you for showing that to so many others as well. We will truly miss you but I know you will give us the strength to get through. Save a few jokes for me up there.

I cannot find the words express the sadness I am feeling.  I considered myself blessed to have known Terry and experienced his joy.  My love is with his wonderful family during this difficult timed.

We had never met Terry but if he were anything like his brother Barry he must have been a fabulous person.  Our deepest sympathy goes out to each and every family member and friend in the loss of Terry. You all will be in our prayers.

I was saddened to hear of Terry's passing.  I knew him at UNO (I was good friends with his friend Gordon Kennedy).  Terry blasted into a room full of laughter and good wishes, and delighted to see you.  Instantly you were dazzled by his blazing smile and the promise in his open shining face that the world was a place with good times to be had, and he knew where to find those good times and couldn't wait to show you too!  I'd reconnected with on Facebook last year, and still felt that love of life in him.   We'll miss you, Terry.

Terry was truly a good friend and a fine person. He will be missed, and joyfully remembered, by me and Graham and Kristy. We are most grateful for all he did for Graham, and for being such a great mentor. We will remember him with happiness and think of him often, especially when we have a good party. We offer our sincere condolences to your family.

I went to grammer school - St. Agnes - and High School - Arch. Rummel with Terry. When I remember Terry I think of him smiling. He was always happy, upbeat and positive. I will keep Terry and his entire family in my prayers. What a great guy!!!

Terry was a very gifted geophysicist and helped anyone who asked. All of us in the oil community will miss him dearly.
