Thornwell R Perry

Thornwell Robert Perry, Jr. passed away on June 8, 2015. Son of the late Thornwell Robert Perry, Sr., and Carol Ziegler Perry. Brother of the late Craig Anthony Perry, Donna Perry Steib, and Holly Anne Perry. He is also survived by his former wives Colleen Perry and Annette Richard Perry along with his nieces Ericka Newburn, Brooke Marks and Amy Wood and his nephew Joel Lehmann and hosts of other relatives and friends. An avid Saints fan, Rob would plan all week to watch the boys in black and gold! He also enjoyed watching college football and basketball and spending time with family and friends. Rob had a jovial spirit and was the life of the party. He was loyal to his loved ones, never met a stranger and was incredibly generous. He had a strong faith in God and lived his life as a true Christian. Always, eager to help, and a humble gentle man. If you knew him, you loved him. He was a one of a kind! His mission in life was to serve others, especially battered women. To honor his dream, the family requests, in lieu of flowers a donation to the Metropolitan Battered Women's Shelter. The family would like to thank the Dr.'s and staff at E.J. General Hospital for their efforts and support. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Rob's life at St. Ann Church in Metairie, La., followed by a "second line" interment In St. Bernard Memorial Gardens on Friday, June 12, 2015.
