Timothy "Timmy" Joseph Maloz Sr.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years Kristie Barrios Maloz; two devoted children, Amanda Maloz Carman (Daniel), and Timothy Joseph Maloz Jr., and one adored grandson, Beau Wyatt Carman; four cherished siblings, Wilson Lewis Maloz Jr. (Karen George), Mary Maloz Richard, Michael Anthony Maloz (Michelle O’Daniels), Salvatricia “Sallie” Maloz Ragusa (Vincent Jr.). Also left to treasure his memory are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family, friends, and colleagues.

Timmy was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Lewis Maloz Sr., and Shirley Theresa Patterson Maloz; his brother Clay Anthony Maloz; his sister, Jeannine Maloz Rigney (Thomas Sr.); and his nephew Raymond Wilson Richard.

He was born and raised in the Irish Channel in New Orleans, Louisiana and was also a resident of Metairie, Louisiana. Timmy worked professionally for many years as a Steamship Agent for General Maritime Transportation Services. He spent many years as a member and Brother Knight of the Knights of Columbus Father Francis X. Seelos Council 2878, and Sir Knight of Bishop Charles P. Greco Assembly 2093 Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.

Timmy had a unique flare for life and laughter and was known to be the life of the party. He found great joy in spending time with those he loved. Timmy was a larger than life individual whose heart was even larger. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who cared for Timmy at Touro Infirmary and Passages Hospice.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, La. 70006 on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass.

Interment to be held in St. Patrick Cemetery #1, New Orleans, Louisiana.
