Vera Nelson Johnston

Vera Nelson Johnston passed away peacefully in her home with family by her side in Pleasant View, Utah on Wednesday December 9, 2015. Beloved wife of late Alexander Henry “Alex” Johnston. Vera is predeceased by Father Louis Nelson, Mother Helen Nelson and Brothers Freddie Nelson and Robert “Robbie” Nelson. Vera is survived by her children Gidget Johnston Webb (Brent Webb), Melissa Johnston, Christina Johnston, Jennifer Keller, Tanya Canty and Monette Morreale, Grandchildren Alex Ferrara, Gary Lambert, Colton Webb, Nick Ferrara, Ryland Webb, Natalya Carter, Bergen Webb, Emily Johnston and brothers Louis Nelson Jr. and Albert “Albie” Nelson. Sisters Gail Comeaux and Cindy Michel. Also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Special recognition to Vera’s dearest friends Jay Rapp (Rapp-a-ho) and Dee Rapp. Aged 64 years, a native of New Orleans, La and a long term resident of Metairie, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Metairie Daycare are invited to attend the Funeral services from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, on Thursday morning, December 17, 2015 at 11:30.
