Vernell Parent Bougere

Vernell Parent Bougere, age 91 years, died in Bogalusa, LA on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Beloved wife of Achille E. Bougere. Mother of Alan (Missy) Bougere, Jill (Tillman) Stogner and Susan (John) Wright. Sister of the late J. L. and Bert Parent. Grandmother of Mark, Todd, Stephen, Kim, David, Scott, Adam, Aaron, Sarah, Amanda, Mathieu and Elizabeth. Also survived by 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bougere was a resident of River Ridge, LA over 50 years and was a longtime member of Riverside Baptist Church.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral Services on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the Metairie home of THARP-SONTHEIMER-THARP, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. at 43rd Street, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment in Garden of Memories.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Red Cross or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
