

William John Justi, Sr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the age of 73 following a brief illness. Born on January 7, 1943, Bill was a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. He was the beloved husband of Carol Stiller Justi, and they shared 54 years of marriage. He is survived by his daughter Jill, daughter Pam, son William Jr, daughter-in-law Lynda and his grandchildren Bella and Jenna. He was the son of the late Joseph H. and Mary Buffa Justi and brother of the late Joseph H. Justi, Jr. He was the son-in-law of the late Francis “Alvin” Stiller and Hilda Stoll Stiller. Also brother-in-law to Alvin Stiller, Sr. (Vi) and Myra Stiller Hermann. He is also survived by his sister, Emily Gegenheimer (Ray) and a host of nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Bill retired from South Central Bell/Bell South. He also was a passionate auto mechanic who was trusted by many and had a loyal following of car enthusiasts. After retiring, his passion for cars led him to follow his true dream of collecting and rebuilding antique cars. His knowledge of cars and how to repair them is already being missed by many. He belonged to the Antique Auto Club of St. Bernard where his involvement in the club kept many longtime friendships alive and made many new friends. He will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he has touched.
