William Earl Wadsworth, 65, of Natchez, Mississippi died of natural causes at his residence in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday April 12, 2020.

He was born on February 17, 1955 in Natchez, Mississippi, the son of Hiram Blake Wadsworth, Jr. and Mary Genena Jaquith Wadsworth. He graduated from South Natchez Adams High School in 1973 and the University of Southern Mississippi. He loved theatre and film and spent much of his time at USM involved in theatre and summer stock.

Mr. Wadsworth was preceded in death by his mother and his aunts, Catherine Jaquith Meng and Carolyn Jaquith Broussard.

Survivors include his father; his brother and wife, Alan and Carolyn O’Quinn Wadsworth of Church Hill, Mississippi; his sister, Lynn Wadsworth of Asheville, North Carolina; his brother and wife, Richard and Cindy Cameron Wadsworth of Trophy Club, Texas; his aunt, Evelyn Wadsworth of Medford, Oregon and a number of nieces and nephews and cousins. He is also survived by numerous devoted and beloved friends that he knew throughout his life. He was a true “Southern Gentleman” and was dearly loved by many.

A memorial service for Earl will be held at a later date.
