Wilma Marie Richard Chauvin

Wilma Marie Richard Chauvin, age 102, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Mrs. Chauvin was a native of Grand Caillou, LA and was a resident of New Orleans, LA for many years. Beloved wife of 74 years to the late Junius Joseph Chauvin. Mother of Irene C. Daray, Catherine Chauvin and Cynthia C. Miles (Jon). Grandmother of David J. Daray (Donna), Wayne A. Daray and Corie Brown. Great grandmother of Brian Daray (Lauren) and Shawn Daray. Great great grandmother of Emma Rose Daray and Ava Elizabeth Daray. Sister of Genevieve Chauvin. Daughter of the late James Richard and Lena Brunet Richard. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Mrs. Chauvin was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church since 1965 and was retired from F.W. Woolworth. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 beginning at 11:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 2:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s Chapel. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Masks are mandatory when attending services. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred.
