Yvette Germaine Steward

Yvette B. Steward passed away peacefully on March 2, 2016 at the age of 53. She was the beloved wife of Clement Steward for 38 years, loving mother of Brittany and Roxanne Steward, & devoted YaYa to Olivia. She is survived by her sisters Mauricette, Miche, and Marcelle. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Antoinette Bagur and her sister Joyce as well as her beloved pet Hollister. Yvette was an amazing designer for over 35 years; from teaching art classes and working at Gordon’s of Kenner/David Drive, she could create something breath-taking and innovative out of thin air. People from all over would come to Yvette for design advice, her unique creations, or just to talk to her about their everyday lives. Yvette had an open door policy; if anyone had a problem, they would immediately know to go to her for strong, sound advice from a wise woman. Yvette touched many hearts during her years. She will be greatly missed by many and won’t soon be forgotten. Please come celebrate her life on Wednesday March 9, 2016 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana 70006. Visitation will be from 9:00 am till 11:00 am with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am in the Leitz-Eagan Chapel. She will be laid to rest in St. Louis No. 3 Cemetery.
