I was sorry to learn of Al's passing. I had tried to contact him and Suzanne via email to let them know of Bernard Bedford's psssing (my father) who had fond memories of working with Al at the Fisheries Laboratory in Lowestoft, England.

Dr Al Jones was at the Southeast Fisheries Science Center when I started my employment in 1977. He was among the best and will be missed immensely. My sincere condolences to his Family in this time of sorrow.

I have been out of touch with Albert for several years and was surprised and saddened when I Googled his name and found that he has gone to be with his Lord. I grew up with Albert in Coalinga CA in the 30's and much appreciated his friendship. Albert was always one of the smart ones in high school and I was always somewhat in awe of him as far a academics go. I will miss him a lot.

I was out of town and just learned of Dr Jones passing.  He will be missed and was my boss at the SEFSC.  We had a good conversation a little over a year ago at his wife Susanne's service.  May you RIP and our deepest condolences to you three sons and their families.

I am very sorry to learn of Al's passing. I started working under Al back in 1990.  He was great person and will be missed.  Many condolences to the family.

Al and I worked together at the NOAA Fisheries Center in Miami since 1984. He was a solid  scientist, an excellent administrator and a real gentleman. He was a pleasure to work with and someone who could always be counted on no matter what the task. He will be greatly miss. His contributions to establishing sustainable fisheries in the southeast were outstanding.

I worked in the same lab as Dr Albert Jones for many many years.  He was a very nice and kind person.  My deepest and most sincere condolences goes out to you and your family.  May you and your family find comfort and the strength (Psalms 9:9)of GODS words...

I meet Dr. Jones in the 90's, a great scientist, an incredible person that will always be remember for his contribution to Southeast Fisheries Science Center.

I am very sorry to learn of Al's passing. I worked with Al at NOAA Fisheries for many years and had great respect for his knowledge, integrity and calm demeanor. He will be missed.

I worked for Al at the Miami Lab and am so sorry to hear about his passing.  He was a good man and will be missed by many.  My condolences to the family.

Sorry to learn of Al's passing, but I knew that his health had declined and was suffering through chemo.  I worked with him for 40 years at the NOAA Fisheries Lab. He was an outstanding scientist with great integrity. He was a good Christian who I admired greatly.
