

Antero Ramon Macias passed away peacefully at home on February 10, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He went to be with our Lord at the age of 87. He was born on February 2, 1936 in Contramaestre, Cuba. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Miriam Macias, his children: Vivian Garcia (Roberto), Marlene Guerrero (Roberto), Lisa Robles (Alfonso), Daniel Antero Macias (Rebecca), and his 11 grandchildren: Roberto Antonio Guerrero, Sofia Cristina Guerrero, Isabella Carmen Garcia, Rocco Garcia, Carolina Robles, Enrique Manuel Macias, Eva Miriam Garcia, Amalia Antonia Macias, Veronica Grace Robles, Sebastian Alfonso Robles, and Lorenzo Daniel Macias. He is also survived by his 3 siblings: Walter Macias, Amelia Macias, and Leonel Macias, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. He is predeceased by his parents: Manuel and Rosa Macias. He came to Miami from Cuba November 14, 1960 with his youngest brother, Leonel. Antero spent over 50 years working as a jeweler in Miami. He was loved and admired by all jewelers in the industry. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He traveled near and far every time a new grandchild was to be born. He enjoyed playing dominoes with his son, son in laws and grandchildren. His unconditional love and joy of life will be missed by all, especially his loving family. The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, February 19 at Caballero Rivero Funeral Home, 8200 Bird Road, Miami, FL with a Rosary and Vigil service from 6 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 20 at 11 AM at Church of the Little Flower, 2711 Indian Mound Trail, Coral Gables. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mercy, 11411 NW 25 Street, Doral, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital.
