Aurora Consuelo de los Reyes passed away on March 5, 2026, at the age of 73, in Miami. She was born on May 9, 1952 in Havana, Cuba. Aurora spent most of her childhood in Mexico City and loved telling stories about growing up there.
Aurora had a master’s degree and worked for years as a special education teacher. She enjoyed movies, music, and painting. She also loved animals, including her dogs and cat.
Aurora is survived by her sister, Cristina (Mike), and her niece Cristina (Joe), and grandnephew, Nicolas. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Aurora and José.
Aurora will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
A Pond Service ( located in the center of the cemetery). will be held at Woodlawn Park South, 11655 SW 117 Ave, Miami, Florida 33186, on March 10, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
