

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beverly Burton Lyle, age 96, of Miami, Florida, who passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 4, 2024.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 29, 1927, Beverly attended Girls High in Atlanta and went on to study at Oglethorpe University. She married her beloved husband, Henry, in 1950, and the two soon moved to Miami, where they built a life centered on faith, family, and community. Beverly poured her heart into creating a warm and loving home, nurturing her family with kindness and devotion. She was a longtime resident of the Cattail Creek community in Burnsville, North Carolina, where she found tranquility in the mountains.
Beverly and Henry, who shared an inseparable bond for over 60 years, were founding members of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Miami, where they spent decades in worship and fellowship. Her faith and church community were constants in her life.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry G. Lyle, and her son, George H. Lyle, Beverly leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine L. Saunders; her grandchildren, Shane Lyle (wife, Rachel, and twins, Madison and Taylor), Kristyn Saunders Wilczek (husband, Jason, and great-granddaughter, Eleanor), and Katie Saunders; as well as her granddaughter-in-law, Tracy Lyle Hollman, and great-grandson, Austin. Beverly’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
A private burial will be held on November 12, 2024. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating her life at a memorial service on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 11295 SW 57th Ave, Pinecrest, FL 33156.
She will be deeply missed, but her love and warmth will remain with us always.
