

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cary "Caridad" Martínez, who died on November 17, 2025, at the age of 87. A longtime resident of Miami, Cary was a pillar of strength, bravery, and unwavering positivity, known for her warmth, generosity, and loving spirit.
Born on January 21, 1938, in Curaçao, Cuba, and later growing up in La Lisa, a borough of Havana, Cary built a wide and far-reaching circle of family and friends throughout her life. She is lovingly remembered by her beloved son, Rodolfo Pardiñas, and his wife, Athy Pardiñas; her nieces Arlene Ballinger, Diana Bennett, Teresa Martínez, Lourdes Martínez, Marita Martínez, Sandra Martínez, Tania Martínez, Maria Cristina Ramirez and Frida Schmidt; her nephews Dr. Carlos Rolando Martínez, Luis Rolando Mirabal, Carlos Alberto Pardiñas and Otto Pardiñas; and many cousins and friends. She is reunited in rest with her mother, Maria Martínez Cáceres, her father, Dionisio Martínez, and many other loved ones who preceded her in death.
Among Cary's notable accomplishments was raising her son, who was her pride and joy. Professionally, she served as a dedicated bookkeeper and tax preparer for many years before successfully owning and operating her own small business. Even amidst life's challenges, Cary never wavered in her compassion, always prioritizing the needs of her loved ones and extending a helping hand to anyone in need.
Her legacy is one of profound kindness and selfless generosity. Cary’s loss is deeply felt by her expansive family and all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will continue to inspire strength, resilience, and generosity in all who knew and loved her.
