Catherine Marie Morris, a beloved Aunt to all and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, in Miami, Florida, at the age of 80.Born on August 12, 1944, in Wisconsin, Cathy grew up with a deep love for learning and a passion for helping others achieve their potential. Cathy always was able to find the good in everyone, she had a wicked sense of humor and a large warm heart.
She always loved to teach new things to anyone and everyone that wanted to learn. Her hiking background was extensive, to include the Appalachian Trail, and she was always there if anyone need advice on the subject. Her love of cats was something that you knew if you knew Cathy at all. She had her own cats and cared for any stray that would come her way. She leaves behind a loving family and a host of dear friends who will remember her warmth, generosity, and the enduring impact she made on their lives. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father Raph Ficken, her mother Vi Ficken (Marketic), and her brother William Ficken.
