It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elsa Murguia Clarke, a beloved mother, advocate, author, and community leader, whose unwavering dedication to families with special health care needs left an unforgettable mark.
Above all, Elsa was a devoted mother whose love knew no bounds. Her children were the light of her life, and she worked tirelessly to provide them with love, strength, and opportunity. She instilled in them the values of compassion, resilience, and service—principles she lived by every day.
Elsa devoted her life to uplifting others. As a Family Support Worker and Family Health Partner at the Florida Department of Health's Children's Medical Services, she provided guidance and compassion to countless families. After her personal experience with her son Robert’s health challenges Elsa founded Miami Family Friendly Hands Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting parents and caregivers of children and adults with special needs. She was committed to help families understand their rights and improve their loved ones' quality of life.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Elsa was an author whose book, Una historia de amor, fe y perseverancia, shared her personal journey of resilience, faith, and perseverance. She used her voice to inspire others through interviews, podcasts, and community discussions, always striving to bring attention to the challenges faced by families navigating special health care needs.
Elsa’s passion for making a difference was recognized and appreciated by all who knew her. She worked tirelessly to ensure that children and adults with unique medical needs received the support and care they deserved. Her legacy will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
Elsa is survived by her loving children Robert Alfonso Clarke, Nicole Arlene Antomarchy, and her grandchild Emma Arlene Antomarchy; as well as the countless individuals she helped throughout her lifetime. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
