Frank M. Garcia

Frank M. Garcia died on March 22 2025 at his home in Key Biscayne, Florida at 90 years old. He left this world with dignity, clarity, humor and a generosity of spirit, holding the hand of his daughter Laura and surrounded by my mother and loved ones.

My father was born on December 30,1934 and met the love of his life, Esperanza Lois Correa at Villanova University in Havana, Cuba. They married after finishing their degrees, and had three children in succession, Cristina, Laura and Frank Jr. Their life was filled with joy and hope to build a future together. Unfortunately, their life took an unexpected and painful turn. They left their beloved country, Cuba, because of the political revolution of the Castro Regime, forever impacting their future. My parents were eternally grateful for the support and opportunities the United States provided. They were driven, hard-working and determined to make a life for themselves and their children. We were taught the value of hard work, integrity, education and independence. They survived many hardships and joys together for over 70 years. He and my mother created many business ventures and traveled around the world. He also became a boat captain as a hobby.

During the last 25 years of his life, my parents settled in Key Biscayne and were active members of the community. My father, a quiet and gentle man when younger, developed his comedic talents and was known everywhere for his humor, quick wit and interest in people and politics. His children spoke to him often and he and my mother developed new routines and interests, always together. Their's is a love story, hard fought, and filled with a full life, well lived.

Frank M. Garcia is survived by his beloved wife, Hope Garcia, daughters, Cristina and Laura, son Frank Jr., and his granddaughters Pilar and Camille. He was loved and is greatly missed. He was the hardest working man I ever met, strong, steadfast, steady, humorous, loving and kind, a warrior until the end. Rest in peace dad, and be proud of all that you accomplished, you gave life your all.

Frank M. Garcia deja atrás a su amada esposa, Hope Garcia, sus hijas Cristina y Laura, su hijo Frank Jr., y sus nietas Pilar y Camille. Fue amado y lo extrañamos profundamente. Fue el hombre que más trabajo realizó que jamás conocí, fuerte, firme, constante, humorístico, amoroso y amable, un guerrero hasta el final. Descansa en paz papá, y siéntete orgulloso de todo lo que lograste, diste la vida con todo tu ser.
