Gustavo is survived by his spouse, Aimee Lynn Duarte; son Gustavo Duarte III; daughter Jessica Lynn Duarte; mother Elvira Duarte; sister Tanya Duarte and brother Alex Duarte.

My Dad was the best Dad. He was always so kind. He would help anyone that needed help. He was the best because we would build sandcastles and toy castles. Now for the last couple of months we were building our treehouse. All we needed to finish it was to put the door and window shutters but then all this happened. He was the best Dad.
A visitation for Gus will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South, 11655 SW 117TH Avenue, Miami, FL 33186. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 12:00 PM at St. Louis Catholic Church, 7270 SW 120th Street, Pinecrest, Florida 33156 followed by the burial at Woodlawn Park South, 11655 SW 117Th Ave, Miami, Florida 33186.
Serving as pallbearers are David Castillo, Louie Rubio, Albert Rodriguez, Joseph Perera, Omar Baez and Jose Orench.
