Janelle Alene Gibbons

Janelle Alene Gibbons, age 70, of Palm Bay, Florida passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Janelle was born in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late Audra and Anna Rust. She lived in Miami, Florida from 1961 to 2017 and was a graduate of Southwest Miami Senior High School class of 1972.

Janelle was a caring and kind soul. She had a positive impact on the lives of everyone she met. She always had something to share or a little gift to give others when she saw them. Janelle was a joyous person who loved to talk to and spend time with her friends and family. She was always thinking of ways to bring a smile to others or brighten their day. She was adventurous and enjoyed attending theme parks, the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair, anything with music, and supporting her family at recitals, competitions, performances, and sporting events.

Janelle is survived by her children, Robert Morris, Carolyn Morris, Crystal Gibbons, Robert Prescott, Audra Gibbons-Lester, Kevin Lester, and Lyle Gibbons Jr; grandchildren Amethyst Gibbons, Austin Morris, Nichelle Ruiz, Michael Ruiz, Noah Ruiz, Lyla Prescott, Ezra Prescott, and Dea Prescott; sister Jo Anne Brailey; niece Teresa Mullaney; nephew Dwayne Green; and sister-in-law Jannette Gibbons and Linda Harden. She is predeceased by her husband, Lyle Gibbons Senior; parents Audra Leo Rust and Anna Maude Rust; brother-in-law James Gibbons, Kenneth Gibbons, Edward Brailey and Harlon Gibbons; sister-in-law Dell Ann Bedwell; and nephew Chad Brailey.

A visitation for Janelle will be held Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South, 11655 SW 117 Ave, Miami, Florida 33186.

A service will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Woodlawn Park South, 11655 SW 117 Ave, Miami, Florida 33186.

A burial will occur Monday, February 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Park South, 11655 SW 117 Ave, Miami, Florida 33186.
