John, Sandy, and all of the family, I’m very sad about what happened to Jason.  I learned that he passed away about two months after it happened and the memorial was posted on here.  I was in the process of losing my dad when I heard.  

I’m impressed, not surprised, that Jason had so many close friends.  I felt like I was his only friend.  His friendship felt that way.  I missed opportunities to meet up with him in Chicago when he was there, over in New York.  I visited him at Notre Dame in the early ‘90s and had a great time.  He was everything you read in these thoughtful notes from family and friends.  

Jason and I spent the most time together when we were 17, in 1988-’89.  I have no idea why we connected other than love for the same music and the same interests for getting out into E.L.  He came over to my house and we sat around playing keyboard, listening to songs.  He had a lot of hope for the future.  He had ideal things he had set his mind on.  We kind of discovered differences between us because I had no definite future in mind, and he had goals that he worked toward and realized quickly.  When we were a few years into college, he clearly saw I was not heading anywhere, and he gave me the advice to stand for something or you will fall for anything.  

I think that shows true friendship.   He gave advice that I accepted because I knew he had real interest and concern for me, no judgment.   

I know this is not the end for Jason or my dad or for us.  We can guess about the afterlife, but the real answer about it is that nobody will erase or change Jesus’ words at John 5:28, 29, and he already proved he can bring people back from the dead in John 11 and in Luke 7:13, 14.  He is the link between Genesis 3:15 and Revelation 21:4, God’s solution to the problem of death.  Our God made sure there is more to our story beyond this part.

So very sorry to hear of Jason's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with John and Sandy, John, James, and Daniella, extended family and friends. May you find comfort in joyful memories, and may his memory be a blessing.

So heartbreaking beyond words. I feel such sorrow, however knowing you will comfort each other at this time shows the love you share with each other. I will remember Jason with fond memories. Viewing the videos proves what a good friend and how he knew how to have a good time.

A sad day knowing you are not here physically with us. I remember you as a baby and a very handsome teen. Visiting at your parents home, your Christening and at the lake house where you enjoyed all the fun activities and guests. Mom and dad made me feel welcomed, perfect hosts. Every year we received a Christmas letter from your parents. You were mentioned proudly with Daniella always. Sandy, John and family, Daniella, no words can express the sorrow I feel. 
Know that you are loved and never forgotten.

Jason you were taken from this world too soon. I have fond memories of our time at Notre Dame and particularly Alumni Hall. My prayers and condolences go out to your family and friends.

It was a great pleasure meeting Jason through my friendship with Daniella.   I will always be grateful for all the kindness and love he shared with her throughout their marriage.   He imparted his wisdom and joy for life with her and with all of us that came as part of Daniella's life.

Jason, you will be missed and know that we will all continue to love Daniella and together with her, we will keep your memory alive.

You’re the best man I have known. Already missing your laugh and your jokes. Heaven gained an amazing soul, I really can’t imagine how many outfit changes you’ve had so far up there lol. A few things I know for certain …. You’ll always be best dressed, Master of the dance floor, king of Karaoke, and the funniest and kindest hearted friend I had. Thank you for always being genuine. Until we meet again, Brother.

I met Jason my freshman year at Notre Dame. 
He lived a few doors down from me in Alumni Hall.  Since that meeting, we became great friends.  He was not only a great friend, a roommate, and an unabashed Irish fan (is there any other kind?), he became like a brother to me.  Even as our lives took us down different paths, we  could instantly reconnect as if we never skipped a beat.   We celebrated each others' accomplishments and milestones, and always tried to get together for our annual reunions - usually at a Notre Dame football game.  Jason was quick with a joke, but also caring and invested in the lives of his friends.  
  It's hard to believe you are gone so soon.  Miss you already J.

Our last annual pilgrimage to South Bend was October 2024.  Seemed like it was just yesterday. Will light a candle at the Grotto for you every time I come back to campus. You will be immensely missed.

Dear Daniella and Family,

I am a colleague of Jason's at Prospect and you probably know my name from your Christmas card list, a card I looked forward to receiving each year. He always looked so happy and proud to have you hanging on his arm. I know you brought so much joy to his life.

Please know that he touched many lives at Prospect and he was so well respected and loved. 

I hope you accept my deepest sympathies for your loss.
