Jerry Douglas Mardis

(March 4, 1940 – November 23, 2025)

Jerry Douglas Mardis, a devoted husband, father, and businessman, passed away on November 23, 2025. Born in Wauchula, Florida, on March 4, 1940, he was the son of John and Deloris Ginn Mardis and the brother of Arlene Mardis Carlson.

A multi talented and hardworking man, Jerry dedicated his professional life to the insurance industry. Alongside his wife, Santa, he successfully ran a family business for many years, a testament to their partnership in both life and work.

Jerry was a devoted father who instilled the values of strong work ethics, kindness, and compassion in his children. He is survived by the love of his life and loving wife of 53 years, Santa Buccheri Mardis, whom he loved beyond what could be found on this earth.

His legacy lives on through his six children: Jerry Mardis Jr.; Lisa Mardis Favuzza and husband Frank Favuzza; Terry Mardis and wife Heloisa Cariello; John Mardis and wife Raiza Mardis; Salvatore Mardis; and Francesca Mardis and wife Indira Mardis; eighteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

The love he shared and the work he has done will speak for him for generations to come.
