

Jocelyn M. Yipon, age 89, passed away peacefully in November of 2024, leaving a legacy of love, resilience, and community. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, She came to the States later in life, approximately 2012 to be with her kids and grandkids. She lived a full life, marked by her dedication to family, friends, and community. Jocelyn was known for her warmth, infectious laugh, and the way she made everyone around her feel like family.
Throughout her life, Jocelyn remained deeply connected to her Caribbean roots, frequently sharing stories of her homeland and instilling a love for culture and heritage in those around her. Jocelyn is survived by her children, grandchildren, and a wide circle of friends who were fortunate to know her kind spirit. Her passing marks the end of an era, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Jocelyn Yipon was the: Daughter of Maisy Thomas and Malcom King (both Deceased), Husband - Emanuel Yipon (Deceased), Children- Lee Yipon (deceased), Dion Yipon (Keith Patton) and Kristal Yipon-Simmons (Jaleel Simmons Sr.) and Grandchildren - Cole Yipon, Faith, Eve and Jaleel Jr. Simmons.
A visitation for Jocelyn will be held Monday, December 2, 2024 from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm at Caballero Rivero Little Havana, 3344 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33135. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 1:00 pm at St. Hugh Catholic Church, 3460 Royal Rd, Miami, FL 33133. A burial will occur Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 2:30 pm at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn North, 3260 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33135.
