Born on October 3, 1962 in Havana, Cuba, Jorge was the son of Sonia Sacasas. Jorge grew up in Miami, Florida and graduated from Miami Coral Park Senior High School. After working various jobs, he founded his company, AR Security Systems Corp.
Jorge was passionate about things like cooking with his daughter Jessica and attending games with his son Jorgy. For over 25 years, he organized and ran the family fantasy football league, bringing everyone together each season. He had an infectious enthusiasm for life's pleasures—dancing, discovering new restaurants, enjoying music both classic and modern, and diving headfirst into new obsessions. His latest passion was pickleball, which he embraced with his unique drive and tenacious spirit.
He will be remembered for his joyful nature and unwavering commitment to those he loved. Throughout his life, he faced many obstacles but never shied away from a challenge, always pushing through and making the most of what he was given. His most impressive virtue was his deep understanding of what truly mattered in life: the relationships and connections he built with others. Nothing was more important to him than who you were as a person and the bond you shared together.
Jorge is survived by his two children, Jorge Alexander Alonso and Jessica Amanda Alonso. He was predeceased by his mother, Sonia Sacasas; his devoted grandparents, Arturo and Aurora Sacasas; his maternal uncles and aunt Arturo, Johnny, and Elba; his paternal uncle Manolito; and his beloved father-in-law, Jose "Pepe" Junco.
Those who knew him well understood that his radiant spirit wasn't born from an easy life, but from a deliberate decision to choose hope over hardship. Jorge will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts and lives of those who knew and loved him.
