A la familia del Dr Soto. Mi esposo y yo estuvimos presente en su velorio. Fue mi medico  por 15 años y amigo. Un ejemplo de cubania. Valore mucho sus cualidades profesionales descubrio mi cancer y me encamino con los mejores medicos. Hoy estoy viva porque el me puso en las manos correctas. Ascendio a la cumbre mas alta del mundo el Mt Everest y dejo alli la Bandera cubana y que honrado se sentia.. Para mi y mi familia  fue un honor ser parte de su vida. Fue un gran hombre de familia y un buen amigo. Descanse en Paz y Dios le tenga por siempre en su gloria.

Dr. Soto was the best. Since he's been gone, I suddenly have felt very vulnerable. He was always on top of my health issues. Rest in peace, Jose...condolences (still) to your family.

I am deeply saddened to find out about Dr. Soto’s passing. He truly was the most caring, empathic physician. He made me feel very welcomed and was always in a great mood. He was the only doctor that actually listened to what I had to say. He  ordered me an extensive blood work which resulted in it saving me from a depression and fatigue that plagued me for years. 
I send my condolences and prayers to his family. He spoke so highly of his son and his creative abilities. 

This hurts my heart. I called the office to set an appointment.😭😭 I’m in total disbelief. Dr. Soto was the best ever. I started seeing him in 2005. 

In 2015 my insurance changed and I had to get a new Dr. I was devastated. Finally, I was able to get back to him this year. It was a happy reunion!!! He still remembered everything about me. I was so glad to be back. It’s like we never missed a beat. I was back home! 🤗

At the end of each appointment, he always gave me a pep talk about life, health, business, success and taking care of myself.  The same thing happened when I came back.  

We last talked about the stock market its future outlook. He was always interested in the success of my business as a financial advisor but more importantly; that I enjoyed everyday of my life to the fullest. 

To his wife, his children & extended family: You have my deepest condolences and my prayers are with you. Dr. Soto was an extraordinary man. I miss him already. 💔

He was not only my doctor but my wife's, mother's, and grandmother's. The last time I visited with him this past March we spoke about climbing since Dr. Soto had reached the summit of Kilimanjaro and was out at base camp Everest. I love climbing and we share some interesting stories. He was an excellent doctor who treated you more like a family member than a patient.  He was great and he will be missed. 

My wife and I were patients of Dr. Soto. He was a world class physician, but that is not why we loved him. He was simply a wonderful and caring person. One of my visits, he had three medical school students shadowing him and observing his work. I told the students, "If you want to be a great doctor, don't focus on the medical guidance that Dr. Soto provides...focus on how he provides it. Look at the time he spends with each patient. Watch how he interacts with them and how he much fun he has. Most of all, look how he cares as a person for the well-being of another person." He was a special man and this is a tremendous loss to the world, but Heaven is a brighter place with his arrival. Our love and prayers go out to Dr. Soto and his family.  

It is with a broken heart that we hear of Dr. Jose A. Soto’s passing.  He was our neighbor who greeted us and smiled as he left for work every day.  We also remember his Christmas party that we were invited to and enjoyed a wonderful paella.  We will miss him.  God blessings to his soul.

As a third year medical student I had the absolute pleasure to learn from Dr. Soto.  To say he was a kind man is a huge understatement. He was an enthusiastic educator that taught us many different aspects of Medicine. He was beyond generous sharing his knowledge, time, and passion. Most of all he was passionate about delivering the best, current, information on COVID-19 to as many people as he could. Not only his patients but also from his many television appearances.  Dr. Soto had an amazing scene of responsibility to protect his patients, staff, and students. Before being removed from his rotation for safety concerns Dr Soto priorities our safety and took the responsibility upon himself to care for potential COVID-19 patients.  He was adored by everyone that worked with him and the people he treated.  In his memory I beg everyone to take this virus seriously.  

For years and years I heard stories from Alicea about your adventures and which meals you loved. She would give me the recipes. You raised two extraordinary sons who’s intelligence and drive is inspirational. You made a difference in the world. I am so sorry that you did not get to seeI am so sorry that you did not get to see your sons reach their full potential. I am sorry that Alicia will not have the pleasure of loving you as you grew old together. Your friends and patients  won’t have your expertise. You are profoundly missed. Look down on us as we stumble through life. Send us the joy you had in such abundance. 

Dear Doctor Soto , I can’t believe you are gone so young and so fast . During this time l got to know what a wonderful Doctor and person you are .Your loving smile and kind attitude made a difference in many peoples life’s . It was a blessing to know you . l did not mind to wait for you  ,because every time you come around  you made me feel like an especial friend .God bless your family in this time of loss . Dr.Soto was an excellent doctor. He was my doctor for many years .. I always remember when I used to go to his office and we used to talk about many different topics including the hospital setting since I work at the hospital where he used see patients.Iam really sad to know that he has gone to soon.  He will be truly missed by alot of people. This world not only  lost a great doctor but a great human being, a hero, and a angel.. My deepest condolences to his family.. May he RIP..

Te fuistes muy pronto, pero siempre estaras aca, tus alegrias, tus consejos, tus proyectos, . No hace un mes me llamastes para  darme la paz q todo iba bien, q confiara en ti como siempre, y como siempre tuvistes la razon. 
  La mas fuerte de las recientes memorias en el 2016 cuando dsd Miami pedistes al cirujano q operaria de una aneurisma cerebral a Juan Carlos,mi esposo de 20años aca en Toronto, q hiciera todo posible ,sin duda ninguna, por salvarle la vida porq habia sido un  hombre muy bueno con tu familia ,asi fue y es. y desde entonces fuistes su doctor de 24 horas a pesar d distancia.
Ali y tus hijos, saben q aca tiene su casa, su familia, tu ahijada, tu padre, tu hermana.  Nunca te olvidaremos.

Today marks exactly 1 dismal week since the unexpected loss of an AMAZING man~
There is nothing more painful than the untimely death of someone dear to our heart.
Dr. Jose A. Soto was just that~
A Father, Husband, Doctor, Humanitarian, the list goes on...
It’s the things you least expect that hit you the hardest.
I’m unsure what pain is worse—

He leaves 2 Incredible Sons & an Adoring Wife which we will ALWAYS Love & Support...

We started our journey of friendship and family Long long ago...

Remembering the days at Miami Heart Institute, surgical rooms, and Cath Lab.
SOTO, you gave us all,  purpose, and future.  Tony's humor was contagious and the love for your family unparalleled.

 I remember fondly and with great Pride,   our weekly meetings in  Doctor lounge eating Turkey sandwiches,  drafting Biomedical Engineering drawing for new medical technology. Later you successfully Patented.

I became a Dr Soto patient in 2004, it wasn’t a recomendacion at all, i had never heard of him..... and wao, I was lucky. Everyone talks about what a great Doctos
he was, how knowledgeable, always up to date, etc..... but what really set him apart from the rest was his kindness, compassion, his big smile, his sense of humor, you weren’t a client... you were part of his family.  We shared a passion for mountaineering, hiking and many time in his office we would talk about it. Last time a visit saw him was 3 weeks before his passing, i was supposed to be back this week. That last conversation was about my backpacking in Yosemite and his last one to Alaska, he told me how happy was the experience of hiking there with his sons, how special was sharing that experience with them. He then told me how proud he was of them, one of his sons graduating from college in Animation, yes, he told me about a amazing animated donut that you made haha. I don’t know, it’s shocking, it’s unfair. My very deeply condolences to his wife and his sons. You will be very missed Doc Soto.

A great family man, physician and humanitarian.  He will be greatly missed! 



My deepest condolences to family and friends of Dr. Soto.  There is a great amount of loss in his passing.  He was kind and his smile always brightened my day.  He will be missed and remembered fondly.  

Just found out about this...I am totally shocked and saddened. I loved this guy!  He was my physician for the last two years, and even though I wanted to kill him for making me wait so long (on occasion) in his office, as soon as the door would open and he'd walk into the room with that big smile on his face, I would melt. He was the warmest, most personable, caring, dedicated physician, I had ever known in my 70 years of life. I paint, and he would always want to see what I was working on, and was always bragging to his trainee's how good an artist I was.  He was so full of life. I know how dedicated he was to his profession and I'm sure (despite the danger he was well aware of), that he most willingly accepted the challenge to help his fellow human being...even though it ultimately took his life. God Bless, Dr. Soto.

Algo que mi muy querido Doctor Soto hizo por mi durante muchos anos que me estuvo asistiendo como paciente, siempre fue muy buen oyente y fuerte en sus recomendaciones. Me apoyo cuando tenia planes para hacer mejoras en mi salud y sus consejos y grandes conocimentos de la medicina lograron que me enforcara positivamente y gradualmente obtuviera mejoras en mi salud.
