Lilia was born in Cuba to parents Rafael Groso Villapol and Lilia Ojeda Groso. As a young teenager, she moved from Cuba with her parents and younger sister, Vivian to Miami. Miami became her home. In Miami, she met and married Daniel Acevedo. Their marriage lasted 35 wonderful years until his passing in 1999. She was an excellent mother to her children Lillian Carolina and Daniel Rafael. She was beloved by all her six grandchildren. Her grandchildren Danny, Sabrina, Lauren, Amanda, Alexandra, and Lia were her passion. She never missed any activity they were in. When describing Lilia, the words most often heard are excellent friend, caring, compassionate, loving, dedicated, hard-working, trusted and joyous. She had a zest for life that can not and will not ever be equaled. Her motto in life was I did it my way like the Frank Sinatra song says. So next you have a glass of wine or go on a truly marvelous adventure, remember her with a smile because she is with us.
