Maria S. Culmer, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2022 at the age of 69. Born in Cuba, she is survived by her two sons, Raphael V. Culmer and Robert W. Culmer, daughter-in-laws, Tania Culmer and Melissa Garafalo-Culmer, and six grandchildren, Alexis Culmer, Richard A. Culmer, Raphael R. Culmer, Aramis J. Culmer, Ava Culmer, and Eliza Culmer. Maria is predeceased by her husband, Robert Culmer, parents, Vincente and Nereida Muniz, and brother Renee Muniz. Maria was loyal to the care of her pets and created a haven in her home for senior dogs and cats that had been abandoned. She was a devout Catholic and attended mass regularly. Family was at the center of Maria’s life, and she cared for many years for her beloved husband prior to his passing. Maria’s strong will, caring nature, and humor will always be remembered by her family and friends.
A visitation for Maria will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Little Havana, 3344 SW 8TH ST, MIAMI, FL 33135. An Entombment will occur Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Park North, 3260 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33135.
