She emigrated to the United States in the sixties. She worked as a secretary in the medical field for many years in Miami, Florida. Maria Elena was a member of Rosa Mistica Sodality where she has many dear friends who will miss her. She had been a Eucharistic Minister in the past.
She was a devout Catholic who always found strength in her faith.
She is survived by her second cousin, Martha Garcia Stout and her mother Cecilia Garcia of Orlando, Florida.
A Mass will be offered in her name at Manresa Retreat Hose on August 16th which will be available for viewing in YouTube.
