It has taken me some time to find the words to write this. I still can’t believe that you are no longer here with us. I miss you so much.

I miss you driving me crazy at work, asking me every day what we were going to eat for lunch. I miss the little things—like you calling me to ask if I wanted tangerines, or laughing about how your handicap pass let us park closer. Those moments meant everything.

Thank you for all the years of your friendship. Thank you for being my adopted older sister. You were truly family to me.

I miss you showing up at my house unexpectedly, sometimes not even telling me you were coming—just showing up to hang out, going to brunch with my mom, or simply spending time with my family. Those memories will always live in my heart.

Thank you for loving my boys so much, especially Jeremiah. Every time you traveled, you always thought of him and brought him something back. That was just the kind of loving person you were.

These days have not been the same without you. But I am grateful for one thing—I got to tell you every single time how much I loved you. We never left those words unsaid. We always made sure the other knew how much we cared.

I know you are watching over all of us now. I will cherish every laugh and every memory we shared.

And don’t worry. I’ve adopted Eric and Gus whether they like it or not. But most importantly, I promise I will look after Lourdes for you and check in on her the way you always would.

You will forever live in my heart. I love you, and I miss you more than words can ever express.

For 25 years, Nancy was more than a friend—she was like a second mother to me. She guided me with wisdom, patience, and love, always offering advice not only as a teacher but as someone who truly cared about my life and my happiness. During some of life’s most difficult moments, Nancy was the one who gave me the courage and strength needed to walk away from what was hurting and to move forward with hope. For that, there will always be deep gratitude.

Nancy also trusted me deeply, sharing her own struggles with honesty and openness. That bond created a friendship built on trust, support, and countless beautiful memories. Some of the most cherished memories will always be our Friday happy hours at Cancun Grill—filled with laughter, stories, and margaritas. Those moments were simple, joyful, and unforgettable.

Nancy left this world far too soon and took a piece of many hearts with her. Yet there is comfort in knowing she is now resting in God’s glory. And when the time comes, there is faith that she will be there waiting for me—with a margarita in hand and that warm smile that will be missed so deeply.

Her love, guidance, and friendship will never be forgotten, and her memory will always live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

Nancy, you will forever be in my heart and of the hearts of those who were blessed to know you. I will miss you, my dear friend. I will always cherish the conversations we had. You taught me many things and were a wonderful teacher to your students.  Until we meet again. May your memory be a blessing.

I am not saying good bye 
Nancy, but rather hello! Because your fierce presence will remain with us for ever, your honest loyalty to those you loved, the sharp  remarks  you never hesitated to make to shine the light on the truth, to keep us in line, following  your parents tradition.
With no double meaning , and brutally honest words You communicated your feelings; however you Made me feel part of the  Quevedo clan, safe and loved and 
welcomed in the family.
There are countless number of people, many of them professional baseball players , Pastors and teachers across The Midwest community, celebrating the good friend you were while living in St louis..

My dear friend, I will always remember the many wonderful school trip while working together at Palm  Lakes.

My Dear Nancy,  You have left us too soon my friend.  Grateful for all the beautiful memories I have of you, not only from our wonderful school Palm Lakes but also as a personal friend.  You will always be part of my family and I will miss you until we meet again.  Promise me you will give my princess Demi a big hug from me and our family.  Thank you for all your years of dedicated service to our Palm Lakes community and to the Miami Dade County community as well.  Thank you for taking on the huge task of The Fair every year so our students projects could be enjoyed by all.  Thank you for always loving my mom and my family!  I love you my friend, until we meet again!!!!

I am deeply sorry for the loss of such a remarkable woman, educator, and colleague. She made a meaningful impact on so many lives and will be greatly missed. My heartfelt condolences go out to the entire family, especially to Erick, during this difficult time.

Nancy was a wonderful person with a good heart. She was not only my coworker for many years but also my son’s 5th grade teacher during her last year at Palm Lakes when she retired. We shared a love of dogs as I helped her get her late schnauzer from the shelter.  She always lived life with laughter and great stories. Rest in Peace Nancy. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers 🙏🏼
