

Noelia Rivero, 79, of Weston entered into eternal life on December 5, 2012. Born in Habana, Cuba on October 20, 1933, she is survived by her two sons, Luis Barrionuevo of Weston and Carlos Antonio Rivero of Bellbrook, Ohio. She also leaves behind two sisters, Mary Gonzalez of Habana, Cuba and Isis Athan of Miramar, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her spouse of 46 years, Antonio Rivero, and her daughter Noelia Barrionuevo.
A resident of South Florida for 47 years, Noelia was head of the EKG department at North Miami General Hospital for several years. She loved listening to traditional music and actively participated in talk radio. She touched everyone she met with her kind and generous spirit. While she will be dearly missed, she left a legacy in her close-knit family.
The visitation will take place at Funeraria Memorial Plan – Westchester, 9800 Southwest 24th Street, Miami, FL 33165, on Sunday, December 9 at 6:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 8725 Southwest 32nd Street, Miami, FL 33165, with the burial to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery, 1411 NW 25th Street, Doral, FL 33172 . Noelia will be laid to rest next to the daughter she dearly cherished.
