Robert Hudson Edwards

Robert Hudson Edwards affectionately called "Rob" or “Eddie” by his friends was the last of 7 siblings. He was born on February 05, 1941 to the late Gladys Edwards and the late Joseph Edwards.

Robert married Violet Edwards the love of his life on January 30, 1965. Their union was blessed with 6 boys and 1 girl.

Robert attended various schools in Jamaica before he decided to work full time. Early in his career, He worked various jobs before settling at City Retreading Tire Company where he worked for 25 years before migrating to the U.S. in 1985. Upon arrival in the U.S. he worked for another 20 years before he and his wife retired and moved to Homestead Fl.

After arriving in Florida, Robert turns to gardening where he and Violet planted all types of fruits and vegetable in their garden and watched them grow. Robert loved and enjoyed sharing his bounty with friends and neighbors. When he and Violet weren't gardening, you could easily find them playing two man dominoes; something Robert taught his wife well but refuses to allow her to beat him.

On January 28, 2014 Robert left us to be with his savior Jesus Christ. Today would have been his 73rd birthday. Happy first birthday in Heaven.

Preceding Robert in death were two brothers Doctor and Albert; and one sister, Lynn. Robert is survived by his wife Violet; Brother Victor; sisters Pearl, Irene and Viola; sons Herbert (Kaydian), Joseph (Elena), Calvin (Margie), Marlon (Frances), Mikea (April), Wayne (Christine); and daughter Marlene (Gary). He also leaves behind 3 sister-in-law Eileen, Hyacinth, and Jennifer; 2 brother-in-law Stanley and George; 18 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
