Sara Consuelo Orbon, 68, of Miami passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014 after a short and heroic battle with lung cancer. She was born in Havana, Cuba, on January 17, 1946, to the late Guillermo Bernaza, and Consuela Acosta. She was later raised by her stepfather, Agustin Acosta, the poet laureate of Cuba. Sara was a beloved member of the community and proud staff member of Miami Dade College. Sara is survived by her three children, Michael Torres married to Joyced Aloma of Boca Raton, Vivian Unks married to Lee Unks of Matthews and Robert Johnson married to Margaret Johnson of Pensacola. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Joy Angelic Torres, Ryan Unks and Emily Unks. A Catholic memorial mass will be held in Sara’s name on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 10:45 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 14187 SW 72nd Street.
