

Adele was born in St. Henry, Ohio on March 17, 1928, to John I. and Mary (Borger) Uhlenhake.
Adele was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Miamisburg, Ohio where she was an Extra Ordinary minister of Holy Communion and for many years took Communion to the homebound.
In the 1950's and early 1960's she was a member of the Blackfriars Theater Guild in which she enjoyed acting and working backstage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Joseph E. Gattes on August 14, 1978; and her second husband, Wayne C. Sheidler on March 26, 2004; three brothers, Linus, Wilfrid and David Uhlenhake; four sisters, Viola Linkhart, Ursula Uhlenhake, Laura Henry and Mary Ellen Homan; stepson, Paul Sheidler; and sons-in-law, Chuck Sharp and Larry Morris.
Adele is survived by five stepchildren, Joyce Gattes Goins (Jim) of Xenia, Ohio, Janet Gattes Sciarra (Patrick) of Westminster, California, Alan Sheidler (Leslie) of Rochester Hills, Michigan, Jayne Sheidler Morris of Richmond, Kentucky; and Mark Sheidler of Indianapolis, Indiana; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Sheidler of Bellbrook, Ohio. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Adele will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM at Our Lady of Good Hope Church, 6 S Third St, Miamisburg, Ohio, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
The burial is in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home.
