He was born on April 25, 1948, in Morristown, Tennessee, son of the late Allen and Ann Cook. He was a graduate of Miamisburg High School. Alvin served his country in the United States Air Force where he served in Vietnam. He was a 33rd Degree Mason.
Alvin is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kay (Ross) Cook; sons, Johnny Howard and Shawn DeShane; grandchildren, Heather, Angie, Bethany, Dylan; and his great grandchildren, Hayden, Tenley and Cassandra.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Springboro Cemetery where military honors will be held.
