Barbara J. Rose Garrett

Age 78 of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Sycamore Glen Heath Center. She was born October 28, 1934 in Middletown, Ohio to the late, Lemuel and Lula Mae (Combs) Rose. Also preceding her in death is a sister, Margaret; brothers, Dick, Vernon and Von. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Glenn L. Garrett; children, Debby (Allen) Gould of West Carrollton, Verna Garrett of Dayton, Donald (Shirley) Garrett of Miamisburg, Glenna (Terry) Griffin of Carlisle, Ronnie (Mitzi) Garrett of West Carrollton; grandchildren, Christina, Angey (Mark), Jeremy (Christy), Desteny (Donnie), Jason (Vanessa), Adam (Stefanie), Ashley, Cory (Katie); great-grandchildren, 18; sister, Dee, sister-in-law, Marge and many other extended family and friends. Barbara was President of the PTA, volunteered for handicap children, member of Miamisburg Assembly of God, but most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends and family may visit from 1-3:00 pm on Thursday, August 1 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 3:00 pm with Pastor John Swint officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice, in memory of Barbara.
