

Christopher Scott John, 58, of Miamisburg, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 29, 2017 after a brief illness. Chris was born December 27, 1958 in Los Angeles, California. He attended Southbrook Church and was a longtime member of the Miamisburg Moose Lodge 1645. Chris worked for Yoder Die Casting for close to 20 years, and for the last 5 years was employed by Freudenberg Sealing Technologies. He was a master handy man and quite the perfectionist, always willing to lend a helping hand. Chris loved fishing and camping and was known for his wicked sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Chris is survived by the love of his life and wife of 7 years, Angela John; daughter, Stephanie (James) Sercu; son, Kyle John; step-son, Alexander Burton; grandchildren, Noah and Jace; siblings, Diana (Tony) Williams, Rick (Vicki) John, Rob John (David Okubo), and Michael (Jeanna) John; mother, Phyllis (Sieber) Fox and her husband, Robert, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ansel John and his step-son, Stanley Burton. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:30 – 7:30 PM on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home with Pastors Randy Creamer and James Sercu officiating. Burial will follow at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Southern Ohio Chapter, 2300 Wall St., Suite H, Cincinnati, OH 45212.
