Don Schafer

He was born January 14, 1945 in Troy, Ohio to the late John Schafer and Betty (Ingabrand) Schafer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Janet (Goffe) Schafer; & brother, Ron Schafer. He is survived by his sister: Judy (Schafer) Hood, Rexburg, ID; daughter: Vicki (Schafer) Leeson (Ben); Mesa, AZ; son: Gary Schafer; Lawrenceburg, TN; grandkids: Ashley (Leeson) Gilroy (Shilo Taylor); Mesa, AZ; Amber Leeson; Mesa, AZ; Alix (Leeson) Wilson (Travis); Mesa, AZ; Josie Kimbrough; Pulaski, TN; great grandkids: Lexi, Nixon, Presley, Roe, Ryder, Maeleigh, Navie, BrayLee, Montee, Brecklyn, Ridge & Rowen; all in Mesa, AZ.

Don had many jobs over the course of his career. He began working on a farm alongside his parents, then on to NCR before starting his own business. He finished his career in the heating & air conditioning business. Most of all, he enjoyed his time with family and friends, especially his special friends at Ron’s Pizza in Miamisburg.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 3-5 pm at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home in Miamisburg with funeral services immediately following at 5 pm. At the conclusion of services there will a celebration of life at Bennett’s Publical in Miamisburg. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity in Don's name.
