Donald Don G. Miller

"Donnie"

age 70, a lifelong resident of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman M. and Mary (Lovelace) Miller. Don is survived by Rita Miller; brother and sister-in-law, Norman (Patricia) Miller; nieces and nephews, Dianne’ (Mike) Tankersley, Tony (Elisia) Hayes, Michael (Nicole) Miller, Jennifer Mason, Ron (Shelley) Carmichael, Jessica Carmichael, Shauna (Jeff) Rodgers, Shane (Andrea) Flannery; 12 great-nieces and nephews; 2 great-great- nephews; and many other loving friends and family. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Don enjoyed and participated in many activities during his life. He was a volunteer for the Miamisburg Fire Department, a member of the Moose Lodge, the Son’s of the American Legion, the Delco Moraine 25 year club, and a member of The Ohio Wheelman. He enjoyed woodworking, creating landscape features around his home, scuba diving, fishing, hunting, watching wildlife, riding his Harley and driving his ’52 Chevy. He was an avid photographer and he enjoyed playing league golf and the many golf outings with his friends. Friends and family may visit from 10:00-11:00AM on Saturday, January 14 at the St. James United Methodist Church, 401 Carlwood Dr., Miamisburg, Ohio 45342. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Deb Holder officiating. The Miller Family would like to say “Thank You” to all the special people at Avalon of Otterbein and CedarView of Lebanon for the care and support he was given. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The Hospice of Dayton or the charity of your choice, in Don’s memory.
