Gladys Louise Hawk Brown

BROWN, Gladys Louise, age 74 of Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Atrium Medical Center, Middletown. Gladys was born April 15, 1941 in Tellico Plains, TN to the late Meigs and Leslie (Tate) Hawk. In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Brown and siblings, Ruba Hawk, Martha Patterson, Arville Hawk, Hoyet Hawk and Cecil Hawk. Gladys is survived by her son, Mark (Anna Robinson) Brown; siblings, Kate (Sidney) Kelly, Meigs Hawk, Jr. and Ronald (Patti) Hawk; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved English bulldog, Belle. Gladys was a graduate of Tellico Plains High School and was still enjoying her career of housekeeping for Victory Wholesale Group in Springboro and for the environmental services team at Heartland of Miamisburg. Gladys was a former member of Temple Baptist Church and was currently attending Franklin Baptist Church. She loved her faith and devoted much of her free time to family, they were everything to her. Gladys also enjoyed tending to her flowers and enjoying the beauty of nature. Family will receive friends and loved ones from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm also at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Robert Smith. Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg will serve as Gladys’s final place of rest.
