Gwendolyn Jane "Jane" Schmill Sheets

Age 72 of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 at Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg with her family by her side. She was born on December 18, 1938 in Billings, Missouri to the late Harold Edgar Schmill and Hazel Mae Schmill. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Ida Mae Shepherd. Jane is survived by her loving husband, Vernon (Fred) Sheets; two sons, Scott (Debbie) Sheets of Middletown, Bryan (Lisa) Sheets of Miamisburg and one daughter, Julie Sturgis (Chris) of Miamisburg; sister, Carol (Charlie) Garde of Springfield, Missouri; also survived by eight grandchildren, Leah, Ryan, Kyle, Rachel, Amanda, Rebecca, Chelsea and Lindsey as well as one great granddaughter, Bailey. Jane is also survived by her two Springer Spaniel dogs whom she loved dearly (Sadie and Sophie). Jane was a graduate of Miamisburg High School class of 1957. She married Vernon Fred Sheets on June 6, 1958 and together made a home in Miamisburg and raised three children together. Jane was a member of the First Baptist Church of Miamisburg. She had many special friends whom she talked with on a daily basis that will greatly miss her. Jane loved to talk with her friends and had a great love of the ocean; she loved her flowers and loved to read a good book. She could quote many verses from the bible off the top of her head. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 23 at 10:00 a.m. from the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Stephen Spurgin. Interment following in Hillgrove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association, in her memory.
