John T. Grachek

GRACHEK, John Thomas, age 45 of Dayton, was taken from this life, Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. He was born May 20, 1967 to the late Edward Paul Grachek and Evelyn Marie (Shiets) Grachek of Fremont, OH. In addition to his father, John was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Richard Grachek and his nephew, Christopher Patrick. Along with his mother, survivors include his children, January Beamer, Chelsea Grachek, Ashlee Grachek, Jonathan Grachek, Kayleen Grachek and Austin Grachek; his sisters, Donna (Don) Maas of Millbury, OH, Lucretia (John) Owens of Fremont, Maria (Randy) Patrick of Oak Harbor, OH, Cecilia (Ron) Boucher of Fremont and Christina (Paul) Shoemaker of Fremont; his wife of 13 years, Sylvia (Schauffler) Grachek of Carlisle; his girlfriend, Nicole Price of Riverside and her children, Aaron, Tyler and McKenzie as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends. John attended Ross High School in Fremont and went on to work 23 years as a self-employed plumber. He was Catholic by faith and enjoyed lots of outdoor activities including jet skiing, fishing, riding motorcycles and NASCAR. Services are private at the convenience of the family as his wishes for cremation were honored.
