

BURNS, Judy Kay, age 66 of Miamisburg, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 15, 2015 at Sycamore Hospital, Miamisburg. Judy was born April 7, 1950 in Dayton to the late Lavern Norbert and Betty Jean (Myers) Bauer. She is survived by her devoted son, Terry and his wife Stacy Burns of Dayton; her grandson, Aaron Burns; sister, Linda (Ed) Krause of Reynoldsburg; nieces, Jennifer and Jackie and the father of her son, Ron Burns of Dayton. Judy had spent the last 15 plus years of her life working as a cashier for Kroger’s in Centerville where she developed many friendships, but had also enjoyed many years of employment at several local retailers during her working years. Judy was a 1968 graduate of Stebbins High School and enjoyed crocheting in her spare time. Her biggest passion was corresponding through hand written notes with numerous pen pals all over the world. She was blessed to have created and nurtured endless friendships with those she wrote to and her communications will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends and loved ones from 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. A short eulogy and ceremony will immediately follow at 7:00 pm also at the funeral home and led by her dear friend, Joan Ivory. Calvary Cemetery, Dayton will serve as Judy’s final resting place where she will join her parents following cremation.
