Kien was born on June 18, 1974 in Saigon, Vietnam. At an early age, Kien and his family immigrated to the United States and settled in Ohio.
Kien was preceded in death by his father, Ha Truong. He is survived by his mother, Gioi Truong; brothers, Karl (Helen) Truong; Khon (Renee) Truong, and Hoa (Nguyet) Truong; sister, Ai Hoa Truong; nieces and nephews, Hannah, Jonathan, Jayden, Ryan, and Dylan; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kien had many passions in life but none greater than “The Ohio State Football team”, numerous traveling softball teams and the love of golf and the friends he played with, and on October 28, 2022 Kien made his first Hole In One. Kien graduated from Miamisburg High School in 1992 where he played both football and ran track. Kien had worked for General Motors, AK Steel, Wright Brothers and was currently employed at Community Tissue Services where he had many friends including his special caring supervisor, Kristen Gibson.
Kien’s best qualities were always putting others before himself, and helping anyone in need. A scholarship has been set up in Kien’s name to benefit a graduating Miamisburg athlete, @KTSCHOLARSHIP on Venmo. Only those who share those same characteristics will be eligible to receive. Special thanks to Jeff Marr and Karen Ensor for the lifelong friendship and care taking to the end. Also to Jeromy Trueth, Rob Mayes, and Doctor Dwayne Gard.
All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life that will be held from 10 AM – 12 PM on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Cox Arboretum at the Edible Landscape Gardens, 6733 N. Springboro Pk, Dayton, 45449.
Services are entrusted to GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg.
