Lida Yvonne Campbell

CAMPBELL, Lida Yvonne (Hunt), 92, of Miamisburg, OH, passed away on November 7, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Yvonne was born on March 22, 1925 to Russell and Monnie (McFarland) Hunt in Greenup, KY. She was married for 54 years to Courtney Campbell of Frenchburg, KY. Over the years, they lived in Dayton, West Carrollton, on their farm in Fincastle, OH (Brown County), and Miamisburg. For many years, Yvonne worked as a meat-cutter at Albers Grocery Stores and Freedom Foods. She was an avid quilter and volunteered with the Miamisburg Senior Center quilters for several years. Most of all, she loved taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Yvonne will be lovingly remembered by her children: Vernon (Sandy) Campbell of Miamisburg, Patricia Hendricks (Michael, deceased) of Westerville, Marvin Campbell of West Carrollton, and Jan (Juan) Gomez of Centerville. She will also be fondly remembered by her 10 grandchildren: Kimberly (John) Ikirt, Kelley (Danny) Profitt, David MSgt [Retired] (Jennipher) Hendricks, Douglas (Amy) Hendricks, Melissa (Robert, MSgt [Retired] ) Rasberry, Heather (Jason) Fine, Michelle (Glenn) Wright, Robin (Boris) Bogdanich, Benjamin Gomez and Sofia Gomez and her 19 great-grandchildren: and her 19 great-grandchildren: Makaley & Delaney Ikirt, Brooke & Brant Profitt, Zachary & Aubrie Hendricks, Jake Hendricks, Courtney, Gracie & Michael Rasberry, Noah, Jaden, Houston, & Brenna Fine, Campbell Norton, Savannah & Lauren Wright, and Anna & Marina Bogdanich. She is also survived by her sisters, Marcella Brown and Mary Kiser of Columbia City, IN, and her double cousins/nieces Verna Clift, Shirley Hawkins, Joyce Fuller and Mary Werner of the Dayton area and many relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Courtney Campbell, her son Rodney A. Campbell, and her son-in-law Michael A. Hendricks.

Visitation will be from 10 am – 12 pm followed by a funeral service at 12 pm on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, 508 E Linden Ave, Miamisburg, OH 45342. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association Miami Valley Chapter, 31 W. Whipp Rd. Dayton, OH 45459.
