Mae Frances Skrlin Elliott

Age 73 of Miamisburg passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. Mae was born March 29, 1941 in Lewsiton, NY to the late Steve and Josephine (Krstzek) Skrlin. In addition to her parents, Mae was preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph Skrlin, Emil Skrlin, Walt Skrlin, Steve Skrlin, George Skrlin, Frances Eatz and Barbara Gais. Mae is survived by her husband of 55 years, Walter D. Elliott; children, Colleen Mae Elliott and Walter D. Elliott, II both of Miamisburg; siblings, Ralph (Carol) Skrlin of New York and Florence Oyler of Miamisburg; her beloved cat, Missy as well as her close friends. Mae attended Niagara Falls High School class of 1959. She worked for a time in alterations for Capitol Cleaners and went on to own and operate her own seamstress business from her home. Mae also enjoyed crafting and sharing her wares with family and friends. She was Catholic by faith and devoted the majority of her life to her family as a homemaker and mother which included rare skills like clothing making, flower gardening and upholstering. Services are private at the convenience of the family and according to Mae’s wishes. Heritage Hills Memorial Gardens, Springboro will serve as her place of rest.
