

Age 26 of West Carrollton passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 1, 2014. He is preceded in death by grandfather, Mark Bowling; aunt, Teresa Kniesly and cousin, Corey Phillips. Marcus is survived by his mother and step-father, Susan (Bruce) Bierlein; father, Larry Bowling; sister and brother-in-law, Heather (Kurtis) Jewell; special niece, Harper Jewell; grandparents, Mary Ann and Bill Kniesly, Jerry and Anne Ritter; aunts, uncles and cousins, the Schmitz Family, Pease Family, Younker Family, Sutton Family and Steele Families and many other extended family and friends. He studied at OSU, was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and a huge Buckeye football fan. He will always be remembered for being “The life of the party”. Marcus also graduated from Kettering College with an Associate’s degree in Nuclear Medicine and was currently working at Dayton Progress. Friends and family may visit from 5-8 pm on Thursday, August 7 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, 508 East Linden Ave, Miamisburg, Ohio 45342. A funeral service will be at 11am on Friday, August 8 at Our Lady of Good Hope Church, 6 South Third St. Miamisburg, Ohio 45342. Interment following at Hillgrove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Sigma Chi Foundation, 1714 Hinman Ave., Evanston, IL 60201, in memory of Marcus.
