Mary C. Herman Schroeder

SCHROEDER, Mary C., age 97 of Miamisburg passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born July 19, 1914 in Miamisburg to the late Frank and Mabel (Campbell) Herman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Gary and Vernon Schroeder; brothers, Paul, George and William Herman and her sister, Ada Schock. Mary is survived her son, Carl (Dixie) Schroeder of Miamisburg; daughter-in-law, Rose Schroeder of Fairfield; grandchildren, Carla (Blaze) Hiob of CA, Scott (Cheryl) Schroeder of NY, Jeffrey (Kimm) Schroeder of Miamisburg, LuAnn (Jeffrey) Grimm of KY, Charles (Susan) Schroeder of MS and Paul (Sarah) Schroeder of MS; 11 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lorraine Herman of West Carrollton and many nieces and nephews. Mary was a life-long member of the St. Jacob Lutheran Church in Miamisburg where she had also participated in Rebecca Circle and worked with the sewing group to construct quilts that were donated to local area organizations. She was a former member and Past President of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post 165 and Alumni of the Miamisburg High School Class of 1933. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, Friday, August 19, 2011 in the historical chapel of Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 Noon also at the funeral home and officiated by Pastors Daniel Fant and Michael Hout. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg.
