Paul Emerson Mason Jr.

MASON, Paul Emerson Jr., age 75 of Miamisburg, passed away unexpectedly at his residence Sunday morning, October 15, 2017. Paul was born April 8, 1942 in Dayton to the late Paul Emerson and Roseland Catherine (Carr) Mason. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded by his wife of 27 years, Carol Sue (Nolley) Mason (1989); son, Darrin Scott Mason (2010) and siblings, Norman Mason and Bill Mason. Paul is survived by his children, Melia (Scott) Schacherer of Alabama and Greg (Lisa) Mason of Seven Hills, OH; grandchildren Stacey (Matt) Bottroff, Megan (Clark) Young, Savanna (Clifford Lee) Schacherer, Matthew Mason, Kaleigh Mason, Elizabeth Mason and Edward Grams; great grandson, C.G. Lee; siblings, Barbara Yoder of Pennsylvania and David (Cheryl) Mason of Miamisburg; sister-in-law, Kay Mason of Florida and many other extended family and friends. Paul attended Miamisburg High School and spent his career working as an electrician for GM. Paul was a former member of the Miamisburg Masonic Lodge, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Moose. Paul enjoyed hunting, vegetable gardening and horses. He shared his appreciation for the outdoors with his family as they spent a great deal of time camping together. Family will receive guests from 9:00 – 11:00 AM Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM also on Saturday and officiated by Dignity Celebrant Deb Holder at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg.
