

WALLING, Rosemary, age 88 of Miamisburg, passed away, Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born December 3, 1927 in Atlanta, OH to the late Guy and Goldie (Van Fossen) Conrad. In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Samuel Henry Walling in 2014; her daughter, Samantha Walling in 2007 and siblings, Geraldine Conrad and Glen Conrad. She is survived by her daughter, Connie (Larry Coy) Plisek of Miamisburg; grandchildren, Jesse and Katie (Adam), great grandchildren, Jordyn, Jenna and Kara and her beloved cat, Dolly as well as many other extended family members. Rosemary was a 1946 graduate of Miamisburg High School and received her Bachelors of Education from Otterbein College in 1950. She was a First grade and Kindergarten teacher, retiring from Miamisburg Schools after many years of dedicated service. She was active in her Alumni group and enjoyed many vacation with her husband on the Delta Queen. Additionally Rosemary pursued her interests of water color painting and knitting in her spare time. Family will receive friends and loved ones during a memorial gathering from 11:00 – 1:00 PM Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. A memorial service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM also at on Saturday at the funeral home. Springlawn Cemetery, Williamsport, OH will serve as Rosemary’s. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton at 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
