Ruth M. Bowles Jefferson

She was born April 5, 1938 in Bond, KY the daughter of Herman and Lorene (Davis) Bowles.

Ruth enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Steve Jefferson of Germantown and Tammy (Bob) Manor of Wilmington; granddaughter, Amanda (Josh) Allen of Germantown; great grandchildren, Jeremy, Jordan, and Ashlyn; sisters, Connie Miller, Irene Eddinger, and Dena Bowles Barrett; several nieces and nephews including, Dwayne and Don Bowles, Jimmy Miller, and Richard Barrett, Jr.; numerous cousins; special family friend, Harry Wells, Jr.; as well as Pookie the cat, the baby of the family.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, James “Ray” Jefferson; brothers, Fred and Lee Roy Bowles.

A funeral service will be held at 12 PM on Friday, October 27, 2017 at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg officiated by Dignity Celebrant Deb Holder. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 AM – 12 PM. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg.
